Did Edison Really Say...

There has been some question as to whether Thomas Edison actually said "the doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease". After all, why would the guy who invented the light bulb care about health care?
Snopes dot com has done some research into the origination of this quote. Their desire was to find the earliest record of it. If the earliest record came well after Mr. Edison's lifetime, it would be questionable whether it could actually be attributed to him.

What they discovered were newspaper articles from 1902 and 1903 (well within Edison's lifetime since he died in 1931) that documented Edison's predictions for the year ahead.

While historically it has been chiropractors that use this quote, at New Garden Medical and Wellness Center, it is a perfect fit for us. Our multi-disciplinary team is ready to address all three aspects of Edison's vision for the future: your frame, your diet and the cause and prevention of disease.
